Principal License
There are two principal licenses, for grades PreK to 9 and grades 4-12. The master's degree is required as a subset of the requirements for the Principal's License. These licenses are intended for those who plan to serve the educational system as leader of a public or private school.
Superintendent License
The superintendent license requires three years of experience in a position requiring a Principal or Administrative Specialist license. These licenses are intended for those who plan to serve the educational system as leader of a public or private school.
Administrative Specialist Licenses
Following State of Ohio rules, each of these licenses qualifies an individual to work in a central office or supervisory capacity in a particular area of administration.
Choosing a Licensure
If you are interesting in pursing any of the licenses please contact one of the Educational Administration faculty members to discuss your individual situation and goals. There is a point person for each of the degrees, but any faculty member would be able to help you to consider your options.
