Professor of Audiology The University of Akron Jim Lynn claims Ohio as adopted home state after having grown up in Iowa. Originally a music major, he became interested in Audiology while still a freshman. He earned Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Degrees from the University of Iowa. After a brief period as an audiology faculty member at The Ohio State University, he joined the faculty at The University of Akron, and became Director of the School of Communicative Disorders in 1990. Jim served as the Director of the School from 1990 thorugh 2000. Currently, he serves as Associate Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts.
