Erin Miller

Hearing Aid Dispensing Coordinator

The University of Akron
Email: elm@uakron.edu

I began my career working as a clinical audiologist with a private practitioner in Youngstown, Ohio.  After six years working in private practice I accepted a position at Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital working with children and adults who suffered a traumatic brain injury or stroke.  A few years later I was asked to become a partner in a private diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology practice and continued working there for twelve years.

I have been very active professionally and believe it is critical for our profession to mentor future leaders of our profession. This interest is what brought me to the University of Akron.

At the University of Akron I wear several hats. One as clinical preceptor for Doctoral students; one as Coordinator of the Hearing Aid Dispensary; and my final role and the one I love most continues to be as a clinical service provider to patients with hearing and auditory processing disorders.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, Pittsburgh Steeler Football, Pittsburgh Penguin Hockey and spending time with my yellow lab Grace Kelly!
