The mission of the Student Affiliates in School Psychology is to foster growth and professionalism among the students of the Kent State University School Psychology Program.
This mission is fostered by the following objectives:
- participating in the refinement of the school psychology curriculum and program objectives;
- facilitating professional development opportunities;
- increasing visibility of the program within the university, community, and national network of school psychologists;
- contributing to the recruitment of applicants to the school psychology program;
- developing financial supports for individuals to pursue additional learning opportunities and the organization to contribute to the community.
The SASP Executive Committee helps to promote these objectives by facilitating communication between the student body and program faculty.
Adopted by Student Affiliates in School Psychology Executive Committee on 09/26/02 and endorsed by program faculty on 10/17/02.
