All students are reviewed annually through both a self-assessment and a faculty assessment. Each of these assessments uses a standard protocol to evaluate the student’s performance and progress in the School Psychology Program.

  • Students in their first year of the Program complete a Year 1 Student Self-Assessment and Progress Report;
  • Students in their second year of the program complete a Pre-Intern Progress Report;
  • Students in their third year of the program complete a Year 3/Intern Summative Self-Assessment and Progress Report.

Year 1 Student Self-Assessment & Progress Report

The Year 1 Student Self-Assessment and Progress Report will be completed by the student as a self-assessment and submitted to the student's advisor by June 1 of the first year of study. All program faculty will conduct a review of each student's progress and performance. Written and oral feedback about Year 1 student progress will be provided in a conference with the student’s advisor prior to the beginning of fall semester in Year 2.

Pre-Intern Progress Report

The Pre-intern Progress Report will be completed by the student as a self-assessment and submitted to the student’s advisor by the Monday following Thanksgiving of the second year of study. All program faculty will conduct a review of each student’s progress, performance, and readiness for internship. Written and oral feedback about Year 2 student progress will be provided in a conference with the entire faculty at the conclusion of the fall semester of the second year of study.

Year 3/Intern Summative Self-Assessment & Progress Report

The Year 3 /Intern Summative Self-Assessment and Progress Report will be completed as a self-assessment and submitted near the end of the student’s internship year to the University Internship Supervisor. The Year 3/Intern Summative Self-Assessment and Progress Report is due no later than May 31st. This self-assessment will be utilized by program faculty, in conjunction with other information, to provide the exiting student/intern with written and oral feedback, as well as for continuous program improvement.
